At Art, Heart, and Hoofbeats, we talk a lot about the way horses help humans, humans help horses, and—perhaps most importantly—how we all help each other. Yesterday, this circle of care expanded in a way that reminded us just how connected we all are.
We received an urgent message about two animals in need—a beautiful miniature horse and an adorable little goat. Their owner had experienced a serious health crisis, leaving the animals alone with no water. A kind neighbor had been keeping an eye on them, but it was clear that things needed to change quickly.
Without hesitation, we said yes.
A New Home, A Fresh Start

When our new little equine friend and sweet goat arrived at AHH, they were greeted not just with safety and care, but with a warm community ready to welcome them. Almost immediately, they charmed everyone—including our visitors from MORA, who got to witness their first day in their new home. Watching them play, explore, and settle in was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
We’re All in This Together
The story of these two rescues is about more than just saving animals. It’s about how deeply intertwined our lives are with the beings around us. Horses help humans heal. Humans care for horses. And in the end, we all take care of each other.
That’s the heart of AHH. And with every rescue, every volunteer, and every act of kindness, the circle grows a little bigger.
Welcome home, little ones. You’re safe now. 💛
Welcome home, Zeus and Ralphie!
What a beautiful moment to be part of the welcoming 2 new members to the family.
